Privacy policy

This policy explains what Al Gerrha collects when you use algerrha.com, its 3D virtual gatherings and the Al Gerrha app for iPhone and iPad (together, “Al Gerrha”), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Al Gerrha is operated by Telgerrha, Khobar Gate Tower, King Fahd Road, Al Bandariyah, Level 21, Al Khobar 31952, Saudi Arabia (“we”, “us”).

In short: we collect what we need to run your account, the gatherings and the shop. We do not sell your data, we show no third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. You can close your account and erase your personal data from inside the app at any time.

1. What we collect

You give us

  • Account: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). Optionally a phone number for two-step sign-in, and passkeys.
  • Profile and game: the character you choose, your Mini Profile and who may see it, the buildings you create, your coins, challenge and quiz results, predictions and Fantasy Arena squads.
  • What you share: posts, comments, chat messages, photos and other content you add to The Square, buildings and rooms. Content you post in public places is visible to other people.
  • Shopping: delivery addresses, orders and bookings. Card payments are handled by our payment providers (Moyasar or Stripe); we never see or store your full card number. For saved cards we keep only the provider’s token, the brand and the last four digits.
  • Messages to us: what you send when you contact support.

Collected when you use Al Gerrha

  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, app version, language, and server logs (pages requested, times and errors). We use them to keep the service working and secure and to stop abuse.
  • Position in the virtual world: where your character stands in a 3D gathering, so other visitors can see you. We do not use your device’s GPS or physical location.
  • Guests: if you play without an account, a random guest code on your device keeps your progress; it is joined to your account if you sign up later.
  • Notifications: if you allow notifications in the app, a push token that lets us send them. You can turn them off in your device settings.

Device permissions (app only, only when you use the feature)

  • Microphone and camera: when you join a voice or video room, or take a photo. Voice and video go live to the people in the room; we do not record them.
  • Photos: only the pictures you choose to upload or save.

2. Why we use it

  • To provide Al Gerrha: your account, the gatherings, rooms, chat, games, Fantasy Arena, coins, the shop and deliveries (performing our agreement with you).
  • To keep it safe: sign-in protection, preventing fraud, spam and abuse, and enforcing our rules (our legitimate interest and legal duties).
  • To send service messages: verification codes, receipts, order updates and, if you allow them, notifications.
  • To improve Al Gerrha using our own server statistics. We use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping order and tax records.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with:

  • Other people on Al Gerrha: your name, character, Mini Profile (according to your privacy setting) and the content you post publicly.
  • Sellers: when you order from a store on Al Gerrha, the seller receives what it needs to fulfil the order (name, address, phone, items).
  • Service providers who work for us: payment processing (Moyasar, Stripe), hosting (our servers at AlphaVPS), content delivery and protection (Cloudflare) and email delivery. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities: when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you close your account, your profile, posts, comments, addresses, saved cards and other personal data are erased. Order and payment records are kept as long as the law requires (for example for tax and consumer-protection purposes), and server logs are deleted after a short period.

5. Your choices and rights

  • See and change: edit your details any time under Account.
  • Who sees you: set your Mini Profile to public, followers or private.
  • Close your account: in the app or on the website go to My account → Account → Close my account. This erases your personal data as described above.
  • Other requests: under Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law and other laws that apply to you, you may ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, or object to some uses. Email contact@algerrha.com; we answer within 30 days.

6. Children

Al Gerrha is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security and storage

Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to our systems is restricted. Our servers are operated by our hosting providers and your data may be processed outside your country; where it is, we protect it as this policy describes.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in Al Gerrha when the change is significant.
